"...and I, infinitesimal being, drunk with the great starry void, likeness, image of mystery, felt myself a pure part of the abyss, I wheeled with the stars, my heart broke loose on the wind." --Pablo Neruda
Beautiful photograph! Great passage from Neruda. Haven't thought of him in ages! Really, that's a beautiful photograph. Your photographer knows how to compose. I have to ask: where was the photo taken? In a garden?
Ah, a self-portrait, it is. You are, as you know, in good company. My self-portraits are always askew, but not yours. I like your blog and think your paintings are quite expressive and stirring to the viewer. I've not put a recent post on my blog. I'm waiting for ducks to land on my stock pond so I can take a photo and embellish, elaborate, express. But, keep your posts and photos of you, flowers, and your paintings coming. I'll do my part to post and keep nature thriving. Thanks, Bonnie. Your friend, Jack.
Hi, Bonnie. Hope your latest painting is coming along and you are not in a slump. The trees here are turning so quickly and leaves are falling. I suppose where you live, autumn has already taken its toll?

ReplyDeleteI'm guilty of the self-shot! Taken in front of a flower arrangement in my house...I love flowers, Jack: inside AND outside.
